Need Help With a Senior Keeshond? 
E-mail Judy Hintzman if you
have a senior keeshond that you need to turn over to rescue or if you
have financial issues dealing with health problems of your senior
keeshond. Provide all pertinent information about the dog and
telephone numbers where you can be reached day and night. A volunteer will be back in contact with you.
Assistance is available in the following areas
- Veterinary
care: routine and acute
- Medications:
short-term temporary or long-term permanent
- Grooming
- Training:
obedience, special needs
- Equipment:
collars, leashes, beds, kennels
- Food:
regular diet or special dietary foods
- Supplements:
occasional usage or ongoing usage
- Miscellaneous:
as requested
Funding will be
available according to the following priorities:
- KLU dogs
currently in foster care
- Other rescues
currently in foster care, with priority given to geographical proximity
to KLU if everything else is equal.
- KLU dogs in
forever homes. Please note that
only extreme hardship situations will be considered for non-fostered
keeshonds. (e.g.: foreclosure, lack of employment, lack of
support (divorce), death of immediate family, serious illness).
- Other rescues in
forever homes, with priority given to geographical proximity to KLU if
everything else is equal.
All dogs funded
will be over eight years old (that is, 9 years or older).
All funding
requests must be submitted to the board of directors whose decision is
final.
All required
documentation must be submitted for payment to be remitted.

Funding Request form.
- Rescued or
adopted from a recognized shelter or rescue person or group. (Not
eligible: adopted or purchased from a reputable breeder, backyard
breeder or pet store.)
